Kiefer Sutherland joins Pompeii cast

Kiefer Sutherland is in final negotiations to join the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson’s disaster movie Pompeii, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington is already onboard, along with Emily Browning and Jared Harris. Shooting reportedly began last week.

The plot revolves around a slave (Harington) who dreams of the day he can buy his freedom and marry his master’s daughter (Browning). However, the girl has already been promised to a corrupt Roman senator (Sutherland), while he’s been sold to another owner. And then there’s something about a volcano erupting…
