Trailer: Into the Storm

Warner Bros brings us some catastrophic entertainment this August in the form of Into the Storm, where a bunch of tornadoes gang up on the unsuspecting town of Silverton. Here’s the synopsis:

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes.  The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come.  Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Richard Armitage, otherwise known as hunky dwarf Thorin Oakenshield in the Hobbit franchise, stars along with Sarah Wayne Callie and Jeremy Sumpter. The film opens August 8 in the U.S. (at “cinimas”, apparently), and the trailer does promise some heavy-duty destruction. Check it out:
