I’m not really sure this one qualifies as an actual disaster movie, but I’ll list it for now until more details are known. A drug smuggler is caught in the middle of a deadly double-cross in the Caribbean Sea, surrounded by bodies, hostile mercenaries, and sharks. Oh, and it’s a time loop. So might be more sci-fi than disaster, but we’ll see.

Florida
The 2024 Netflix miniseries La Palma was a success, and now a sequel has been announced. The plot follows directly after the events in La Palma, as the devastating tsunami approaches the coast of Florida. Same screenwriter (Lars Gudmestad) and production company.
