Coming attractions: Megafault

Kind of old-ish news, but principal photography is reported to have wrapped earlier this summer on Megafault, which is scheduled to premiere on Syfy this fall, with a DVD release to follow shortly after that.

The movie stars Brittany Murphy and Eriq LaSalle as a seismologist and a miner who team up to stop “a massive earthquake that threatens to tear the world in half”, according to the sparse information on the official site. I can almost feel the generic plot twists already. A trailer has yet to materialize.

Megafault is produced by well-known rip-off/mockbuster company The Asylum, which have recently given us movies like Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus. In other words: don’t expect stunning production values…
